My 85-year old mother's credit union checking account was charged $449.24. My mom's name on the account was all messed up so it was an obvious scam. The cancelled check copy provided by the credit union was made out to this payee "Club Billing.. etc." when I looked up the payee name on the internet I found all these similar complaints. I called the phone number on the check and reached "3rd Party Customer Service." The rep I spoke with was very straight-forward as if he had received these calls all day long and assured me that a refund would be posted within 21 days. So that's where I am at with this, hoping the refund will come through.
