this person offered me a job where i am supposed to take care of a disabled 25 year old woman named tiffany. they sent me a check in advance for me to cash of $2780. i was supposed to keep $530. and the rest was supposed to be sent thru western union by me to a supposed housing agent who was supposed to get an apartment for "tiffany" to come live around my area. the thing is that the money was supposed to be sent to an address in north carolina which is another state. i got the check today by priority mail. and they told me it was fake.

  • this is a classic scam. It's a very good thing that you couldn't cash the check because you could be on the hook to your bank for the full amount. If you still have the check in your possession, turn it over to the postal inspector at the USPS. They are in charge of all mail fraud, regardless of who delivered the item.
