I had signed up for this program in 2009. My understanding was that I was to buy 4 books over 9.98. Well, I made my first purchase and when I got my receipt I noticed that the amount of books that I needed to purchase was still the same as if I had not bought any. I emailed them only to be told that the books that I purchased did not meet the criteria...Really??!! They were on your website and were not on sale or clearance...Anyway, time goes on and my husband loses his job. I owed them 36.48 and sent 32.47 through PayPal which they refused.
Now I am being pursued by a collection agency...I have sent numerous emails stating that I had submitted a payment on 05/04/11 and they refused the payment. That in my eyes, the debt is no longer valid. Yet DoubleDay appears to not read the emails that I send and only reply with the address to send payment...These people are crooks
