I WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE FROM BEAVERTON, OREGON BY A FEMALE LEADING ME THROGH A PROTRACTED PROCESS TO SHOW ME THAT MY COMPUTER WAS ABOUT TO CRASH DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF THOUSANDS OF VIRUS--THE PROCESS WENT ON FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF - I WAS TIRED AND DOPEY AND SIGNED ON TO PURCHASE A VIRUS PROTECTION - TO A COMPANY CALLED ADVANCEPCCARE-COM FOR $139 AND TO MERCAWAY-COM FOR $117--THE NEXT DAY I SUSPECTED A RIPOFF AND LEARNED ON-LINE OF MERCAWAY'S SCAM HISTORY--I HAVE E-MAILED customermercaway-com TO PROTEST AND DISPUTE THE CHARGES-
