After recieving a text saying i could win an ipad by entering a code, I was redirected to ziinga's website. I was baited into bidding on an item at this penny auction site. After winning it, i was asked to create a user account etc, then paid for the item with my credit card. After receiving a confirmation email, I received another asking for a photocopy of my credit card with signature and a photocopy of my passport. Becoming suspicious, I wrote to cancel the transaction. they agreed to cancel but said it would cost me $49 to cancel my 'Platinum Membership' (something that was never mentioned upfront) They said I had entered a binding 3month contract. So here I am, a victim of this bait and hook scam operation and $49 poorer.
