I saw the ad on Craigslist for an extremely nice Kawasaki 750i 4 wheeler with 81hrs -1800.00. To good to be true...but, ya know. I immediately got in touch with her via e-mail. She gave me the same story of a recent divorce, wherein, she received the quad in the legal settlement. Still suspicious, I asked for her cell phone number; she was having cell trouble and was super busy with work (apparantly covered up scamming other people at the same time).
Anyway, I asked if she could varify that the title was in her name, and asked if she could give me any vin or serial numbers. She sends me a scanned image of a title that looked, possibly, doctored and had no serial information.
She also sent me an e-mail from "eBay" that asked for 900.00 (half the total of 1800.00) so that the shipping company could deliver it. This money was to be payed via Western Union and held by a third party in London, until 3 days after I received the four wheeler and I decided that I would keep it.
By the way,I was promised free shipping, because someone else had already payed to have it shipped to anywhere in my state (convenient), but had to back out on the purchase because his loan fell through. Man, it must be my lucky day!
A few hours later, she sends me an e-mail stating that eBay has JUST changed their policy and, now, all of the money has to be held by the third party before the merchandise can be shipped.
So, needless to say, after seeing all of these posts, I plan to blindly pay 1800.00 for a 4 wheeler and wait by the road for the delivery driver to bring me my shiny new 4 wheeler!

P.S.
She also couldn't give me the name of the delivery service that was, supposedly, holding the merchandise. ...she was probably just busy with work.

Sorry to the people who actually lost money. I was hopeful too! Coulda been me. My sympathies!
