I started receiving phone calls from a number that kept coming up unknown I did not answer at first but they were very persistent and kept leaving messages for me at home and work. The messages said that I was going to be in very big trouble and they would see in court Mon. 8/13. I called them back the man I spoke to said his name was Ron but he had a very, very thick Indian or middle eastern accent he said that I owed money for a payday loan that I had defaulted on. I had not defaulted on any payday loans and I told him this. He proceeded to tell me all my personal information and insisted that I indeed had taken out this loan and now owed for it.He was very rude and would not give me the name of his company, the name of the supposed payday loan company or even the amount I supposedly owed. Since I could get nowhere with him I hung up.I had gotten a payday loan on-line before but did not default on it. This company also has been calling my mother and husband saying that I put them down as references. First they were just repeating everything they had said to me about the big legal problems and that I was going to be in very big trouble, then it got out of hand when they tried to tell my mom that if I didn't pay them she would have to because she was my reference. They then threatened to have my disabled mother arrested if she did not have me respond even though I had spoken to them already. I then looked up the phone # on-line and found massive complaints about these people being a scam. They called my mom back again while I was sitting right next to her so I answered the phone. First the man coughed in my ear for 5 mins then said he was "returning" a call back from that # and started to recite my personal information to me again. I asked him how he had even gotten this information, he ignored this and kept on talking and that's when I lost my temper. I said for 1)NO ONE CALLED YOU SO YOU ARE NOT RETURNONG ANY CALL AND THIS ISN'T EVEN MY PHONE THAT YOU CALLED ME ON 2)I HAVE NO PAYDAY LOAN 3)WHERE IN THE HELL DID YOU GET MY PERSONAL INFORMATION 4) I LOOKED YOU UP ON THE INTERNET IT CLEARLY STATES THAT YOU AND YOUR COMPANY ARE NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!! HE SAID EVERYONE ON THE INTERNET WAS A FOOL, I WAS A FOOL AND THEN HUNG UP ON ME. PLEASE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THESE PEOPLE LET ME KNOW, IF YOU HAVE FOUND ANYWAY TO RESOLVE IT I WOULD GREATLY APPRIECIATE IT!!
