Me and my friend ordered shoes from this site, "shoes365buy.com". As they had a pair I had tried on in a store in another city, I decided to order them online since I knew what size would fit me. After waiting for two weeks, my friend received a packet (even though the shipping address was mine, the billing address hers) from China. It was small and soft, and I didn't open it (my friend was in Japan and I had her permission to open only the package of shoes). It must be the infamous shower cap. I tried contacting the site, but to no avail. As soon as my friend comes back to Finland, we'll be contacting PayPal to see if we could get at least some of the money back.
We will also try to persuade PayPal to unable money transfers to that site.
I AM OUTRAGED. I WANT TO BRING THAT "STORE" DOWN.

  • Hi, I'm Alex, I know exactly what you mean! Although after some very stressful weeks I finally got my money back, it felt bitter sweet. You just know they'll continue their fraudulent practises. This site is only up and running since last May, so I guess more victims will follow unless they're finally blocked from PayPal, or better still, caught. You should search for either "shower cap" "package from China" or " shoes scam" and you'll find dozends of other fake companies. When closed down, they just set up another "shop". FBI or some internet fraud investigation unit should investigate all these scammers globally, not every victim fighting to get his/her money back. Don't wait too long starting a dispute/claim, and good luck! In the PayPal community there's also a thread about this. Search for "scam shoe seller from China" and you'll find the right discussion. There's an administrator that gives perfect advice in international situations
