I went to Soft House Furniture in June 2012 and put a down payment of $1,300.00 on a bedroom set of $1,700.00. I told the manager that I would return to pay the remaining balance the beginning of July and will them have the bedroom set delivered, But when I returned the store was closed and according to police, out of buisness. I took the Defendent to court but noone appeared since I did not have the owner's full name. I went to a local furniture near by to purchase another bedroom set, since I have been sleeping on an air mattress, and I encountered the owner/manager's son. I then found out that the other 2 local furniture stores were ownwed by the same gentleman. I questioned him upon where his Dad was but he refused to give me any information. I was told by the police to file a complaint with the better buisness bureau to address my issue and to report all three stores since they refuse to disclose any information so that I can get my money back.
