While visiting Vallarta Gardens, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the resort had contracted the World Residence Club to try and sell timeshares. The sales people, Miguel Luis, Judy Bailey and Candi Ross, offered to sell our existing 2 timeshares via their affiliate company "The Property Place" (a claim that they are now denying), giving us 10% on the agreed upon price for our timeshares, which could then be used as a down-payment towards our purchase(Vallarta Gardens). We agreed, paid for the timeshare and felt confident that these were reputable people? About a month and a half later, we were again contacted by Miguel Luis, via telephone, who offered to upgrade our existing timeshare at Vallarta Gardens for an additional amount of money. Seeing as all the paperwork had kept coming reguarly, via our email, all the upgraded information was done as promised (on paper anyways) so we decided to take advantage of the World residence Club offer. Unannounced to us at the time, Vallarta Gardens had terminated their services with the WRC in April (reasons unknown) so in fact they (The World residence Club) were selling bogus upgrades that Vallarta Gardens now refuses to uphold, acknowledge or compensate. As for the Property Place, as was stipulated in their contract, all monies were to be paid to us in full within a 120 day period. It is well over that now and The Property Place is claiming that they are still working on it? Also, in order for us to rent out the additional weeks that we were given as incentive for this upgrade (with the WRC), we needed to purchase the weeks we were going to relinquish first before we could get a confirmation from the World Residence Club (4 wks@4$xxxx). Once a wire transfer was sent (both for the upgrade and a 2nd for the rental weeks)then The Property Place would forward us payment for said weeks in approx. 30-60 days. Ya right. In either case, l am dealing with about the 4th agent, all of whom seem to be passing the buck and/or claiming that they are getting themselves familiar with our contract. What a crock and what a pile of scammers!! Please DO NOT become involved with these companies. It would be easier and less stressful to just go throw your money into the wind and wonder where exactly it is ending up?
