I was charged $9.99 from Shaboom Media in July 2012. I called T-mobile and was told to TEXT 23918 “STOP” AND email [email protected] and tell them to refund my $9.99. She said it will take 31 to 45 days to refund. She went on to say that if I’d like to stop this from happening again, I should sign up for the “Family Allowances” plan on T-Mobile for $4.99 a month. I am filing a complaint about the “CRAMMING” practice to the Minnesota Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission and the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. I caught this right away, but I’m sure too many people are unaware of this “hidden” charge on their bill. http://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Publications/DontGetCrammed.asp
