Met on Match.com - same as the previous complaint by elsbet - sounded like a great guy - for 3 months talked to him morning and night - he knows how to manipulate you and get your trust and then the scam starts. Engineer awarded a contract in Malaysia gives a St. Louis phone number 314-735-5098 and later a Malaysia phone number 011-6016-914-5067 machinery broke down urgency cannot get money out of the bank etc etc even has cohorts in a false Malaysia hotel Sharas all a set up and part of the scam. [Irrelevant Content Removed] this guy and his cohorts need to be caught and put away. I email and IM at the time but now no answer or not working now- same with phone numbers as they are Majic Jack numbers :[email protected], [email protected]. [email protected]; [email protected], [email protected];[email protected] and there are many more fake names and email addresses - some still work. [Irrelevant Content Removed]

  • I know this guy, He is currently trying to scam me but worked in securities industry and di my homework, I met him on Match.com..widower for 6 years..spoke in a strange way about rest in her peace...french accent and uses a magic jack...can go anywhere. Says he is in Malaysia and that the gov. shut him down needing tax money. I called a few [people and they figured it was a scam....ladie be careful out there. This man is dangerous to your bank account. I had the money and told him I had nothing to see what he would do...he went on and on and on trying to get the cash from me...why is he not being stopped...I thinnk he is being looked for by many people...what an experience...ladies do not be week., I played him like he played me..but he didn't win...

  • BTW Stepehn Sass uses email [email protected] and messenger stephensass50. He has been reported to Match.com as a con artist scamming women of their money. I will report him everywhere I can. Makes dating a liability...sorry ladies. Investigate them all.

  • Butterfly thanks for posting - I am relentless to get this guy caught. You are not the only one I am in contact with that was taken by him. I am so glad you did not fall for it but there are many out there that are. Did you report him not only to Match but the FBI on an IC3 form - the more people that are afte him hopefully he will get caught. What was his Match name ??? I really would like to know that as I think he is back but it would help me to be sure that is him. Did U get a phone number either here in the US or Malaysia ??? Please post the numbers as well for me so I (we) can continue to report him.

  • He always seem to use Ilinois - wonder why and always some sort of contruction company in my case a pipeline - send me fake picture, ss#, driver's license, contract, check, etc.
    This one in Alcona I did not think is the stephen sass that is stephen a sass - but you say it was his voice? I called when I was scammed but that was not the voice. what was his match name?
    I will call to make sure I hear the voice you listened to as well. What is his match name?

  • oops I did not see you other posting. I do not know his Match name only the one I met him under. He did work with Jon Verney on fake loans and jon axelson Axel Logan, and a few other. I am in contact with a mother in Australia he ripped off with the loan and another guy . He picks up the money at WU in Malaysia
    I hope the Canadian mounted police will catch him- I am willing to do anything to put him away for life. Steven A injayan works with him or he uses that name from time to time - although I did speak to steven injayan and he pretended not to know him but he is part of the cohorts.

  • I would have never given him the money. I don't understand how people can't somehow feel something is wrong....I played him as hard as he played me. I knew he was off on so many things...got pictures but they are likely of someone else...right?

  • Just called the 81but just a prerecorded message so cannot hear the voice. I know the websites are all fake and they are on MANTA if you go under steven a injayan interfaith or stephen sass interfaith that is what he used with me.   • I thought i was a smart and intelligent woman but he finally manipulated me calling me day and night and I really liked the guy and he had a lot to talk about - it was 3 months of this and yes I had a strong gut feeling and still i feel for it and ofcourse cannot forgive myself for doing it and I keep asking myself how and why did I do it
    I was thinking that was his picture and that is what I went by as all his documentation had a picture that looked like the picture on match etc. so he is very very good at what he does.

  • So so sorry...I don't know if we can nail him..he is really slick...For every lie he told me I told him one back and I am a Christian..it really bothered me what I was doing but my husband just left me 3 months ago,,,crazy situation and always unhappy with me. I have been geting therapy for it and truly was not ready for a relationship...in fact I am sort of seeing my ex fiance from 22 years ago...not serious but he has pulled me through so much...I told him about this guy and what he wanted and he said straight up...you will never see your money again...and i knew he was right...to many things bothered me....a flight to Malaysia does not take 32 hours....by boat? So i knew and kept on sweeing what his next move would be...this was all, in 5 days,,,he is a sweety alright

  • with me it was all pretty believable but the hotel was amiss and then when I called it did sounded like it was the hotel or I call his cell and it did sound like he was working on a pipeline - the money inquiries did not. I called the bank but they were not of any help and the minester of works to check on the contract but with the language barrier I did not get far. I should have reacted on my gut and said I have no money to help but want a relationship he would have ended it at some point and I would have my money but it happened and I have to deal with what I did . of course I did nt tell a sole. Oh, yes he was a christian and went to church etc etc. He worked me for 3 months and at that point he had me. I was married for 32 years - lost a child - divorced for 10 and I was not ready to date or go on Match and I go on Match and I got scammed good. So far I can pick out all the scammers there are plenty of them on there. I want to catch this guy. I even would want to talk to him to confront him but that will not happen. Well keep me posted if you have any other info or if you see any other postings of him on the net. If you feel okay you can give me your regular email if not that is okay we will post here and keep in touch that way. Success with your new relation.

I got this email that sounded just like him with an accent...I could swear it is...if I don't hear anything from him again..I will know it is one in the same...man oh man...make my marriage look like I should go back...but doubt he is ready for that for a while...kindda the same situation,,,I have the money and he hasn't..makes him insecure so he left saying I was controlling after 5 years of trying to make it work...sad really...you can contact me at (Personal Information Removed) and my name is Diane...pleased to meet you but so sorry he conned you...awful....I will do what I can. I also need to call Primax construction because he used their name...they may have a stake in this.

  • Are you telling me that Stephen sass contacted you again? see if you can keep him on the hook for awhile = what is his new number or still using the 817 number? his new email as the one stephensass50 is not working.   • wow, you are still in touch...he is smooth until he doesn't get what he wants. Tell him you are going to make him a surprise wire transfer and get the coordinates..then contact your FBI with the info...I am in touch with the first lady he scammed...would love to see her get it back....let's try to help her as best we can....some nerve this guy has.

  • Christine. Hi, I am the first lady but there 3 others out there I am in contact with that got scammed. I wish we could be on email and not here as this is on the net. That is the best news. Keep him on the hook and make excuses that the money did not go through and you will check again etc. I am trying to see how we can continue the conversation.     I was contacted through match.com. He said he had a company building a pipeline in Sarawak. After weeks there was an emergency, he said, and he needed to repair a piece of equipment so as not to jeopardize the contract timeline I agreed to a two week loan.     I'm talking to him, will report it to the dating site and all the girls that have made comments on his photos. Since it doesn't seem that anyone has ever met him, it doesn't look like he'll get caught. Obviously he hasn't searched his name and know about this site, otherwise, he would have changed his name by now. Story is the same, but I found him to be too much in love, too soon, that in itself is a red flag.

  • I emailed her. I'm not concerned because I'm playing him too. He has no clue who I am. False name, email address created just for dating and even the cell # is a prepaid, no way to track me. He is credited with being smart, but he is not. He just has some good BS and because of women's vulnerability, he has been able to take advantage. I'm anything for vulnerable to men's BS. Been there, done that and learned how to protect myself.

  • This creep contacted me from my facebook account. I am not even on a dating site. I asked him how he got my info. He said I popped up on his facebook page asking if he knew me and he liked my picture and took the chance. His BS was the same a widow his wife died in a car accident. I wondered who this creep was I did not like the sound of him. He sounded so phoney. I googled him to see who this weirdo was and everything just came up on him. I told him my boyfriend and ex husband wanted to meet him. Then I just blocked him. His profile is no longer available. Facebook has to know something about him. He is so stupid and bold to keep using the same name. There has got to be a way to stop this. My girlfriend was scammed by a similar situation on Match.com she sent the guy 11,000. He scammed her he was a service man. He had all the pictures to prove it. It was so creepy. Ladies we are worth more than all this. Don't trust anyone from the internet. It is such a shame there are so many scammers out there that think we are desperate for love. I know so many of you have lost so much but your intentions were sincere and what goes around comes around. Try no to dwell on it just know you are all beautiful and don;t make the same mistake twice. God Bless you all.

  • Hi, foudn you guys by accident. I think this is the same guy who is just trying to hit on me. But I am so careful and check everyone ones details to the death. I'm determined to name and shame these scammers especially thsoe who prey on us young widows. They are the pits!!!He is on Overfifties .com at the moment and using he email [email protected]. But I look for all the normal incorrect language. Gotcha him... uses <am - instead of I am> and secondly always refers in the African terminology when someone has died as being < late> or < of late>. He ahs sent me his website as http://primaxcon.com. So I checke dout the address on .melissa.com and it is verified by Fedex and UPS ...so be careful it is in Ancona. But I see you want a new phone number so I will play along . He has hinted he was married 34 years and has one daughter. Lets see if she is called 'Jenny'. Africans often use a number in their email to indicate their date of birth so 59 does not equate to his age- another hint to look out for girls. I'm going to write a book (sriously) on all these scammers. He also trippe dup and said thanks for contacting me via match.com. I've never been on there!
