On or around July 19th I was alerted that Obrien Jones wanted to be my friend on FB. Upon accepting him as my friend, I inquired how did he know me. He emailed me back stating that he was looking for a serious relationship with someone who wanted one as well, along with possible marriage and potentially having children because he needed one. I advised him that I was too old to have children, was married already, and would not be a good catch for him. He then emailed me and said that he wanted to be friends. He inquired about my marriage and my family. He also wanted to know if I "made men's hair" as I am a retired cosmetologist and he saw that on my profile. My marriage is in ruins, so I thought a friend online would lighten my life. I am awaiting disability and am no longer able to work, so I have all the time in the world to be on my pc. As time progressed, our emails ceased, and we began chatting online. I feel like a fool and I'm disappointed, because I actually fell for his lies. He took advantage of me by misrepresenting himself. He said he was a contract engineer and even said that I could get a job with him. He said he was 46 years old, and that the reason that he needed a family, was because his wife and children had been killed in a car crash. I felt sorry for him and he wooed me in such a way that I didn't know that I still possessed those types of feelings. He played on my emotions for 3 and a half weeks. On Aug.9th,2011, he said that his time was up in Portugal and he was coming back to the states in two days. On Aug.13th,2011 he said that he was stuck in Nigeria because he couldn't get his check cashed because he needed a document which would allow him to cash his check in Nigeria that would translate into 100 USD, and asked if I could send it to him. I WASN'T THAT STUPID, so I told him I didn't have it. He then said for me to just send him what I had. I refused, and he said "that doesn't change the way I feel about you". Then he went offline, after saying "goodnight baby I'm gone to bed". On Aug.15th, he alerted me to chat once again, and we chatted for a short time. This time he just went offline without warning, and I haven't heard from him since. Today being Aug.22,2011, I went to a web site for online scams, typed his name in and there was his pic or the pic he uses, because the pic looks like the man could be any where from his late 40's to mid 50's, but his age is really 25. I don't have monetary damage, but I think he needs to be stopped. He gave me hope and happiness that was fake. I know it was my fault for falling for it, but I'm only lonely and human. Thanks
