Romance scam. Said he lives in Albany NY but in Lagos Nigeria caring for sick mother and needed loan for her heart surgery,later needed loan for her medications and ultimately needed loan for airline ticket back to US. He emailed scan copy of $10,000 check he couldn't cash in Nigeria and photos of him in Nigeria to gain my confidence. Night of flight back to the US,received text that he was in deadly car accident and went to hospital in coma.

- Thank you for this post. I have encountered this person .. I just started getting emails from him. I have tried before with these foreigners .. So I googled him and this was the first thing I saw.. So I immediately put him on blast .. He had the same sad story! And became angry when I told him I did a background check. Luckily we did not get to the part of him asking for money!

- did this guy speak with a french accent? Did he claim to love God more than anything in his life? did he have dimples in any of the pictures he sent to you..was he bald?
