I stupidly did what everyone else is saying here. I didn't intend to use the site but it says by adding your credit card details you will receive 200 Bids and implies you need to do this to see how the site even works. At this point there is NO MENTION that they will also charge you $199.99. They deceive you making you believe it is free. I called my bank but they cant help at this point but I will keep trying. I have also emailed Viaziz where they say they will get back to you within 12 hours (they are running out of time...) I have also drafted a real letter and have found an address in Perth (I am in Australia). There probably is fine print before you click "Finish" as otherwise it would be illegal but they have managed to hide it well which is completely unethical. Anyone who has any ideas on how to recover the money please leave a comment. Thanks.

  • In the States we have what is called the Better Business Bureau. This is a type of business watchdog where if u cant resolve a dispute with a business they try to intervene and resolve issue. They also track all complaints made against companies. If they cant it is forwarded to The Attorney Generals Office for resolution. Do u have anything like that in Australia?

  • Hi and thank you for taking the time t reply. In Australia we do have the department of Fair Trading which I think will be my next step. I did finally hear back from Viaziz via email. They are mainly saying that their terms and conditions are transparent. They sent me a screenshot of the page that signs you up with the points and I am glad they did as it clearly shows their lack of ethics if nothing else. The "FINISH" button is WAY ABOVE the "your account will be debited $199.99" clause.

  • Hi Sharon, I wrote a real (paper) letter to the 2 addresses I found. That one in Perth and one in New York. I sent them registered and they were returned to me as undeliverable. Viaziz is unlikely to respond within the 12 hours either -n I think it took about 5 days before the rude (Inappropriate Content Removed) did answer - Jenny was her name. She is simply rude and ruthless. Dont expect ANY help from this calculating "busineswoman" I couldnt even get a correct address from her. She would not give me ANY phone number or address. They probably dont have one as there would be too many complaints. I raised it with my bank as a credit card dispute and pretty much said what your post said - and how unethical and misleading it is. They did reply saying the case was resolved in my favor by secure email. The funds were credited back to my account but about a week ago they disappeared again! I went into the bank and I believe they had decided not to grant my dispute but fortunately for me (I hope) whoever at the bank who wrote the email saying it had been resolved possibly shouldnt have I am thinking. So that is really the only leg I have to stand on. But please keep trying!!! I urge everyone NOT to give up as this company is scamming people out of lots of money with the deceiving way the site is set up. So my advice is DONT GIVE UP!! I havent. And wont!
