I have a concern regarding this organization.

To my embarrassment, I “may” have been taken advantage of by this organization, and a possible victim of a SCAM, resulting in my loss of funds.

I am reaching out to you today looking for some research regarding Meridian Capitol Industries. They claim to be in Buffalo NY.

I went through several steps with them (1 week process) in acquiring a 10K loan. They seemed to be very customer service orientated, knowledgeable and walked me through the reasons as to why I needed to secure a loan & as to why the loans come from a private lender. I am assuming Canada.
I as offered a few options – A co-signer, collateral or a security deposit……….

It actually made perfect sense since my credit has dings. They followed up with me throughout the day / week and no pressure, called me when they were processing my loan. I was actually very impressed with their service level.

Last night, July 25th, I was followed up with a Nicole – customer service manager and a Jessica Hunter. They called me at 5:30 PM - EST – said everything was okay and my loan was being funded to my JP Morgan Chase Account. They told me to give it a couple of hours & to call them if I had any concerns. Paper work was soon to follow via U.S mail.

At 8PM……Well, you guessed it – it was not deposited. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I was assuming that it was probably too late in the day (5:30-EST when they called about the wire) for a transfer to be presented. I checked again this morning – Nope.

I have called this Company since 9:30 AM, today, and left a message for a return call. It is now 12:30PM EST. Nothing yet.

At 4PM I tried calling again - I received an answer on the other line. I was transfer to a Sarah Smithh (with 2 hh's). She was very polite and said that she was reviewing my file and apologized for the mishandling of my file. She claimed the other 2 agents made several errors. She told me that my loan request was refused by the Loan Company, she said the good news is that she found me a new lender who was willing to increase my loan to 15K, but required an additional $800 up front. I said "no" and asked to have my money returned...She said fine - but it will cost you a fee. She also was offended that I was not taking this loan seriously...... "Okay, I thought I have to play along now, this is a scam"...."I told her that I was serious and how much I appreciated her looking into this" I was able to get her email address (an AOL account). AOL?? I asked her to email me with the details....I'm hoping for a IP address.

I did some investigating and read horror stories regarding this type of SCAM……I am sick that I may have been this crazy to go along with this. Yes, I was skeptical and hesitated. Obviously they are good at what they do! Hmmm.

If I was truly scammed, what should be my next steps? Attorney General Ofice?

After doing my homework, after the fact, I see that this has been an ongoing issue in the upstate New York area.

Loss for words - My bad
