In Purchasing a motorcycle through what I thought was ebay motors, I sent a payment of 2500.00 to a Lisa Morrisen on behalf of a David Brown The fee for sending the money was an additional $170.00. In checking with ebay motors we expect this to be a case of Fraud. The money order was thru Moneygram and the receipt or Reference # is as follows #21443666, sent on 7/19/2012 To Lisa Morrisen of 1406 Parker St. Dallas TX 75215. The correspondence with the individual (David Brown) is thru email at his email account David Brown<[email protected]>.
I assumed this was an official agreement as it appears to be from ebay motors and the use of a money agent (Lisa Morrisen). I contacted ebay Motors this morning and they are sure that this is a scam. I have all the correspondence thru email and can forward them to you if needed. Mr. Brown the seller is still corresponding with me as he told me he had some fees to pay prior to shipping the bike. He asked for another $1800.00. after I told him to cancel the order he came back and told me that he would be able to ship for 1600.00. This is when I contacted ebay motors to investigate. I have copies of the money wire thru MoneyGram and all emails that were sent and received. Please investigate this individual. I told this individual I would need to check with my brother who the bike was for and see if he wanted to go another $1600.00 and I would get back to him later to let him know if we wanted to cancel the transaction.
