I was contacted by the above men stating they were from a company called mergis group LTD. Hiring secretshoppers in my area. Of course it was a scam. The first Cashiers check arrived and I didn't do anything for a couple of days. Then I kept receiving missed calls from a # originating from Indiana and the mergis group # from California and texts asking why I hadn't done assignment. On 7/12/2012 I took first check to my bank & deposited. I had all intentions of leaving it there for at least 48 hours but got caught up and withdrew it on 7/13/12 and proceeded to do assignment. Immediately, a second Cashier's check was sent, unknown to me til I received approx 8 missed calls from a Paul Nicole asking me to deposit ASAP. When I said I couldn't he became insistant and at that point I became really suspicious. I cashed second check but held the funds and today the first check was returned to my bank. They call and text you right up to the minute that original check is getting returned. I can only hope no one else falls for this.
