I received a phone call from 1-347-862-9207 from a man by the name of Andrew Erickson with a very heavy Indian accent, he was very hard to understand. He called my personal cell phone. He said that my mother had taken out a personal loan from a bank and had listed me as a personal reference and they were calling me to collect on the debt and that I needed to have my mother which he said her full name call him back immediately and that they would be sending the sheriff to my home and or work to arrest me. He continued to say that he had all my personal information including my SS#. I blocked my number and called them back to see what the company was who called me and the man on the other end said I was calling a telephone and I said no kidding. I asked the name of the company I was calling and he said the Legal Office of the FDIC. He then proceeded to ask me what I was calling for and I said that I had received a very rude and threatening phone call on my personal cell phone and that I didn't appreciate it. He then asked for my number so that he could look up my case and I said absolutely not that I would not give him my number and he then said well good luck to you then and hung up on me. I googled the number and found several other complaints about the same phone call and that it was a phishing scam. My mother also received the same exact phone call a few minutes prior to me getting my phone call. I did save the message on my cell phone in case I need to file a police report. The man did not give a dollar amount as to which the loan was taken out for.
