    • StimulusJobs.net Complaint / User Submitted Image #132144

Searching for government jobs at craigslist, I followed a link to stotro.com, where the webpage image showed stimulusjobs.net. Ignored several red flags because the pretty picture looked official. I filled in my basic contact info, figuring I was registering to find thousands of government jobs that were just waiting for me. ;)

The webpage then led me to another page that asked questions about my education. It looked like spam-phishing so I immediately tried to exit the site. It wouldn’t let me out without clicking on some other bright-colored flashing links; I restarted my computer instead of clicking deeper into that rathole.

Since then, I’ve gotten a lot of emails from them that I report as spam instead of clicking on any of their email links. The other day I got a text spam out of it too.

A little research shows that stimulusjobs.net is the home scam site but they use a lot of other domain names that link to it in order to post at craigslist and some of the other sites that are catching on to them. They have no job connections to offer but are a front for spam and scam.

  • This same images and format show up on a wide variety of pages that promise access to government grants, scholarships and more. They're posted on job sites for a wide variety of specialties like nursing and construction. Avoid it like the plague.

  • One of the clues I ignored was the address on the original ad: "215 W. Ohio St. Floor 3, Minneapolis, MN". I googled it and it doesn't exist. Found out that they advertise that same address on the ads they put out in every city.
