I wanted to get my boyfriend parrots for a birthday and anniversary present. I found this site, little did I know it was fraud. I messaged the advertiser and they asked me how many birds I had, if I would breed them and how many time i am willing to sacrifice for the birds and the nearest airport. The e-mail address that we had our conversation was [email protected]. So I answered my honest answer that I had a couple of birds, I didn't want to breed them but I wanted them as pets and I've had it all planned out. They told me that they took the birds to the airport and gave me a crate number A18. Then they asked me to pay for the flight so that it could be sent here right away. This is my first time ordering animals online so sadly I didn't know anything. So the next day I went to western union to pay $300. Here is the contact information that I sent it to:

The day after, they asked me to send $650 for pet insurance that would be refunded. It was a place called Nation Wide pet courier.
Finally I had a feeling that this was fraud so I asked my classmate if she thought it was true and she said that she also got scammed. They told me that they wouldn't keep the parrots at the airport for another day but I didn't want to give in. I kept on asking what airport they were located at so that I can call the airport and ask if there are really parrots there but they kept on avoiding my question. When they finally got tired of me asking, they told me that it was not an airport. So I asked the pet courier for legal information and they didn't want to give me any. I asked for a website and they said that it was under reconstruction but I was thinking to myself that even if a website is under reconstruction, it still shows with a notice that it is under reconstruction. So I told them that and asked them for a number. The numbers they gave me were 0023799912311 and +1469375078. I didn't send the $650 because I had a strong feeling that it was fraud. The owner of the parrots messaged me asking me to pay the insurance so I asked them if they could pay it first and I'll send the money in if they refund it because I don't want my mother in laws money to go to waste. The owner told me that they didn't have enough money because her husband got into a car crash on his way to work. She sent me 3 different pictures so I just couldn't believe it. I told them that I refuse to pay for the insurance because someone has told me that it was fraud and I never got a message from the owner again.
