Several weeks ago I signed up with several sites, supposed they pay money, but not much, just to fill out surveys. They say they offer chances to win prizes, such as gift cards from Walmart, Lowes. Home Depot, and Visa and Mastercard.
They said I was to get a $500 Lowes gift card, another a $250 Walmart card, then after filling in my address and phone number, I never received anything but 137 telemarketing calls. They claimed in order to recieve the cards I had to subscribe to several online services, subscribe to magazines, all at anywhere from $1.99 to $9.99.
So far nothing but harrassing calls.
