Jason Green called me posing as an agent for Smith & Rosenberg Law Group. Claimed that I was about to have a civil suit regarding check fraud if I did not pay the remaining balance on a quick loan. I was paying the loan back through RCS who had purchased the debt from the original lending company. Jason told me that RCS was the scamer and that I had to pay the remaining balance with him to avoid legal action. I gave him my debit card number in fear of legal action. The next day I received a call from RCS stating that I needed to pay the remaining balance and told me that I was scamed. I called my bank to file a dispute for the charges and checked online to find that this phone number has called many to scam them. I received a letter in the mail from Jason Green With Smith & Rosenberg Law Group and an address P.O. Box 4321 Saint Pul, MN 55104. The content of the letter stated that no legal action or collection activity would be pursued due to my payment. I checked online for the legitamacy of the mailing address provided, and found that the address is a Catholic Evangelical organization. Smith & Rosenberg Law Group is a firm based in Seattle, WA and has no record of Jason Green's employment. The letter was mailed from North Metro, GA. This is over 1000 miles away from Minnesota. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and will file a complaint with local law enforcement.
