I met Marcus online 5-09 via Matchmakers.com He claimed to be an engineer who worked on international & national projects. By July '09, he was in an "accident" while on his way to the airport in Nigeria. I was sent fake hospital bills and emails from a doctor and from Marcus. I sent loan money to him for his "job", his medical bills, hotel bills & food bills after he "recovered". It wasn't until a girlfriend of mine found him on Romance.com that his true self was exposed. In total, I sent him approx. $23,000. I had to file bankruptcy in Jan. '10. And he had the nerve to try to continue contacting me and asking if we could "get back together" once he returned to the states. His home supposedly was in TX, but when he did return to the USA, he landed & stayed in WVA. I kept his email address active so I could always see him when he was online. He still uses the same address, but I suspect it's not the only one he uses. I would like to see him spend jail time for his use & abuse of women. He told me he was a widower who also had 2 deceased children & parents. He supposedly was born in Italy & a "devout" catholic! I'll tell you anything you want to know; I saved all the wire papers and photos he sent to me. My lawyer said I'd never retrieve the $ because he was initially staying abroad and we couldn't prosecute unless he came to the states. I don't have the $ to hunt him down to press charges.....
