Called saying I owe money on an bill from 10 years ago. Said $500 in good faith and an additional $1500 by 6/29/12 or would be sued for total debt balance plus 10 year interest, total $11,000. Spoke to Ben and some rude lady named Julie (though we know those aren't really their names.) Numbers 1-866-664-6473 or 281-570-7569 ( Humble, TX)

- You have to demand to know who the original person was that billed this debt in the first place that is your legal right. The collection agency also has to prove it is your debt and by law has to have a legit paper trail to back it up. No matter how old the bill is you have a legal right to clear up the debt with the original place person or business that says you owe the money. Most of all they have to produce proof proof proof. Check on your credit reports for any history of this debt.

- P.S. And know this for sure it is a Felony Offense for these people to yell, swear, threaten you in anyway to pay this bill. There is a place you can call for help with this kind of collection practice just call a criminal lawyer for information on who to call as I can't remember the name the Attorney General would be a good place to start.
