I received a call from who I thought was Microsoft starting that my warranty had expired and I could restart my service and they would clean and remove negative items. He stated this would speed up my computer. Because McAfee' warranty had expired and I renewed their service, I also believed the same with Microsoft. This company acutaully was moving around my curser on my desk top computer I beleived I was dealing with Microsoft. He had a technician check to see what I needed and told me it would cost me $399.99 for 5 years, to clean up all the negative items. I had not given him any info at that time. He gave me a name od John, with Microsoft. I spoke to his manager who assured me their company was Microsoft and everything was correct, I agreed for Microsoft to go ahead, stated that the tech would do the clean up after they received the $399.99 payment. I used my American Express card to charged it and when I went to print the page, he shut the page down. I asked why he did that and thats when he said he did not do anything. All the while he was moving the curser around.

I then looked up Microsoft on line and contacted them and told them the story. They stated that they would never call or ask for info like they did. I knew then I had been frauded. He had their technician to take a look to see if they did what they said they did and they did not. I realize they were not from Microsoft, but I did have anything on them except for the company, Mercaway, who my payment was made to. I found out they are out of the state. Microsoft was the one who gave me the company's name real name; Happy Softwares:[email protected].

I ended up paying Microsofts technical personnel, who identified himself, to remove all of the negative items and and added security from hackers in the amount of $299.99 and 197.99.

I was so upset I called American Express and they canceled my card and issued another one. They also took a fraud report. As soon as I provide them with additional info, they will let me know their findings and results.
