We, my wife and I bought a time share in Hilton Head SC. We were told by the sales lady that we would be able to stay in the 3 bed room condo 2-3 times a year, her presentation even took us to the location of "our property." We settled on a 7 year loan @ $211.00. When we called to reserve "our condo" we were told that # 1 we were only allowed to use it once every 3 years! #2 we were told that we would have to pay $1100.00 maintenance fee then! As it turned out, we were then told that we would have to buy additional points through RCI if we wanted to travel anywhere?
Bottom line: we have a contract that includes the name of the condo, the address, and even get a morgage interest deduct each year,.the deed has our name on it, but we are not allowed to stay in it. Almost everything we were told has been nothing but lies, and fraud! I decided to go ahead and pay the payments,.never defaulted for the sake of credit rating,..but I am extremely displeased! Can anything be done? Could there be an investigation? This company is so dishonest and mis-leading people terrible.
