I just posted earlier about the scam from the money mailbox. I called and the lady way too quickly gave me a number and told me that they would cancel my order and refund my money. The problem is my bank doesn't believe them. They think I should still close this account and start a new one because they still have access to my checking account and could continue to run the check thru regardless of what they say because it is a case of identity theft. My problem is I've had my account for awhile and this would be starting over again and having to wait for a new debit card and reordering checks and the works. I know this is pety to what could happen, but does anyone think that it may be legit and that they may refund my money and leave me alone? I don't know. They spouted the number out pretty quickly and didn't ask me for any information except my name and that's it. What should I do? New acct or not?
