On or about March 19, 2012, i received a e-mail from a man through christian mingle who said that he lived in VA. He said that he was very interested in my profile and that he wanted to contact me some more. He sounded like a beautiful christian man. I wrote him back and said that I wouldn't be interested in re locating. I live in Colorado Springs, CO. He wrote back the nicest note and said that if it is God's will that we be together, that he was ready to relocate. He continued to write to me, telling me some about himself and we even exchanged information as to our likes and dislikes. He sent me daily devotionals and told me how much he was praying for me and that he had never had these feeling before, etc. Then he said that he wanted to come and see me but, that he had a proposal for remediation of oil spillage in West Africa to present to a company. He had told me that he was self employed and that he was a environmentalist engineer and worked in the Deutschmark Mont-rose field north sea as a contract staff and also work sub contracts for Oilkeleen company and other affiliated firms. He wrote and told me that he had gotten the contract and that he had to leave for Nigeria immediately and was so sorry that he couldn't come and see me first, but, as soon as he got back home in about 8 weeks he would head right here.

I should tell you that Jay Boening is the name that he used. He said that he was a widower and that he had a 10 year old son, whose name is David.

When he supposely arrived in Port Harcourt, Nigeria he called me immediately, so he said. He said that he had just been robbed. That he had stepped out of the cab to call me and the cab driver took off with everything that he owned. He said that my number was the only number that he had. Red flags went up, but, he had set everything up so beautifully for 2 weeks prior to this that I wanted to believe him. He said that he needed some money just to get a hotel room until he could get things figured out. I was using my mom's computer, so she got involved and we both wanted to belive him, so we started by sending him 500.00. Then the next thing was he had no ID and was told that he needed to go to the US Embassy which was 2 states away, so my mom sent him money for airplane fare to get there. He had one delay after another, but, it all sounded so good. He said that the embassy was putting him up in their housing until the passport was ready. So, my mom sent him more money, because he continued to call and write to us and we continued to believe him. This went on for about 4 weeks with one thing after another happening, until he asked for money to finally fly home. All this time he said that once he got home he had plenty of money and he would pay my mom back. He talked of wanting to marry me and on and on it goes. So, mom sent him money for the flight home. One night we got a call and he said that he had seen the cab driver that robbed him and he was going to take him to get his belongings, but Jay had to sign for them. The cab driver said that he had an emergency and so he drove off with Jays things and that he had been trying to find him.

That's when the red flag really went up. We got a call both my mom and myself that night the 26th of April, couldn't hear them so they sent an e-mail to me which said, Listen very well. We tried to tell you on phone but, you couldn't hear us. We kidnap ur husband we kill him. We don't play. We very serious. If u tell police or try trace us, we kill him and you never hear him again. He witness one man die yesterday when his people try investigate us. We warn you. Obey or we kill him.

Then we got calls from Jay saying he had been kidnapped and he wanted us to help him get ahold of his son David and to take care of him if something happened to him. We stopped taking the calls. Jay left a message the next morning, that he had exscaped.

It was then that my mom and I changed our telephone numbers and our e-mail addresses. So, there has been no further contact.

I should say because we pressured Jay into his address in the states he gave us this address: and said that he had just put it back in the white pages for us to see. It is: Jay Boening, 414 N Garfield St, Arlington VA 22201. Telephone number is 703-828-8335. The international number that Jay was using is: 0112348060019968.

There is much more that I could say that happened, but, I think that this tells most of the story.

Thank You,

Cindy Harrington

  • The current phone number this guy is using is 704-751-5441 and his alias this time is Garry Davis James. Another alias I believe he is using is Peter SMith from the UK. I do think that this is the same guy as the story is similar. Luckily I did not get scammed found this site just in time.

  • Garry James also tried to scam me with the same story, only saying his 10 yr old son's name is "Clarence". Please see "Speeddate" complaint brought up by searching "Deutschmark Mont-Rose". He never would own up to the scam but claims "someone" is "very smart" and using his name and also that there are thousands of workers in the oil spill rememdiation business. Any pertinent information that further identifies him as a scammer would be appreciated. He used 011-447-0240106020 as international number. He gathers information about you by asking you to respond to his questionnaires as a fun game of "getting to know you". I think this is how he keeps all of his pursuit details organized. He used [email protected] as an email. Thank you.

  • OH and Jason Bosch's profile user name was "luvinme". I think it may be a scammer operation with many people using the same format and basic identity story.
