-Browsed to http://www.ft.com/home/us around 5/06/2012

-clicked link at top right which reads "Try FT for 4 weeks FREE" taking me here: http://membership.ft.com/skylinesplitter/US/, which states "you can try one of our subscription packages for 4 weeks free."

-I chose "FT newspaper & FT.com" taking me here: https://www.ftnewspaper.com/FTUSA_UR_Splitter_Bundle/index.php?src=/JLFB2C9

-This page reads "Your credit card will not be charged until the end of the 4 week trial period...If you decide the newspaper is not for you, you may cancel at any time by contacting the FT's customer service department. The first four weeks of issues are yours to keep without obligation." and "Money Back Guarantee:
If you are not entirely satisfied with the Financial Times, you may cancel your subscription at any time and receive a full refund of the unused portion"

-On 5/09/2012 i received confirmation of my subscription via email - There was no indication that it was through the 4 weeks free offer.

-On 5/12/2012 - my credit card was charged, well before the end of the 4 week trial offer.

-5/14/2012 - I requested to cancel my subscription -

-5/16/2012 - I received the following response: Dear Gregory Sabarese,

Thank you for contacting the Financial Times.

We do apologize for any misunderstanding.

When our customers subscribe, they acknowledge and agree to our Terms and Conditions; which include continuous renewal unless the Financial Times is notified otherwise.

The following statement is an excerpt from our Terms and Conditions as found on our website:
