I went online to check my bank statement. I saw a $29.95 withdrawal that caught my eye. Then I notice the unusual check number. I have never given my checking account number over the phone to anyone. I called the bank immediately and they asked me if I had called the 1-877 number on the check. I did that an actually got a lady who said her name was Veronica. She told me what the withdrawal was for-a subscription. I told her I did not order it so she said she would cancel the subscription and my money would be refunded in 3-5 days. I thanked for her prompt attention. She gave me a confirmation number. After 5 days passed, I checked my bank statement to see if my money had returned to my checking account. NO LUCK! I immediately went to my bank, closed out my checking account. I called the 1-877 several times after my original phone call but all I got was "leave a message". I'm actually surprised that I got a "live" person in the beginning. How many people have had this happen? Go to your bank immediately. Do not wait...
