AS A PUBLIC SERVICE, I AM COMPELLED TO SHARE MY LETTER WRITTEN TO MY BANK TO BLOCK MY ACCOUNT FROM TELEBRAND PRODUCTS.

ALERT!!!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!!

April 28, 2012
My name is (WISH TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS) and I am a member of your credit union. Please do not allow any charges from TELEBRAND PRODUCTS or WHO KNEW BOOKS to be processed from my account. I already called in to request blockage on my account. I saw TV Advertisement of these books and decided to call & place a phone order with a purchase for $29.99. After I entered all of my information, check card #, billing address, etc., I experienced an endless loop of offers (Bahamas vacation, Gardening Products, Beauty Products, and the list goes on and on and on), as I attempted to decline each, in which I just ended the call by hanging up. I was given no order confirmation nor tracking code. I had a hunch that this was a scam of advertisement, so I decided to check my account online to see if any charges had occurred. Then, I went online to search the WHO KNEW WEBSITE. I saw WHO KNEW BOOKS complaints, and there are countless of complaints describing how this company is false advertisement, and charges your account over the amount you thought you are paying for. For example, one complaint described how they are affiliated with other companies, in which these other companies has access to your card information, and will send you products. If you don’t return products within a certain timeframe, they will charge your account. Another example is that they advertised for free shipping with the $29.99 purchase. However, the catch is that you have to pay for two sets of the books in order to get the free shipping. PLEASE VISIT TELEBRAND.COM FOR MORE COMPLAINTS. My ultimate concern is that one complaint described how they never verify the order processed, and that when you call 18007774034 to reach a rep. in an attempt to cancel, they will initially say that the order hasn’t gone through. But, when you call back the next day, they process the order and indicated it’s too late. Customer attempted to fight charges with credit union. Initially, the bank claimed nothing was shown on account. Nevertheless, days later charges occurred. Then, she attempted to dispute charges, and the bank honored. For some reason, the decision was reversed. In conclusion, I have been a member with this credit union for years, and I am trying to be proactive by shutting down my account with a block. I strongly trust that you will protect my account from bogus transactions from TELEBRAND PRODUCTS. Included is my check card as I anxiously await for a new one to arrive with a different number and pin #.

Thanks,
