U.S. bank failed to verify the authenticity of 2 cashier's checks before transacting them. With all the warnings given to banks by the FDIC and other financial institutions - I think this was negligent and in violation of the "reasonable care" a bank should take to verify funds. Heck - many banks don't let you even HAVE the money in a deposit until after the checks clear. Why not U.S. Bank? Why? Because they figure they can just raid your checking and savings accounts and make you 100% liable. I think this is in violation of the terms of the U.C.C. (for banks to protect their customers from obvious fraud). THEY should know how to verify funds with a simple phone call. Why don't they do that? I want to contact anyone who has been harmed by U.S. Bank's negligent processing of fake cashier's checks. They are suing us and I want to counter-sue.
