Multiple phone calls, discussions and a conference call with this firm has failed to transfer a toll-free number that my company paid for. The reason for the transfer is that RingCentral misrepresented the services that we requested and said that they could provide (they could not). Now, a simple "porting" transfer of the number we reserved (which is ours to use, according to FCC rules) has run into obstructive practices and deceptive means to maintain our account at RingCentral when what needs to be done is transfer our number. Until that number is transferred (again, several forms have been submitted for RingCentral to find fault with each arbitrarily and without any information given to me, the administrator of this account as to how to correct, and they reject the form outright). Finally, after an hour-long, 3-way call with their Number Transfer Dept. and my new provider and myself, we were given at least 3 ways to fill out the form -- each one a conflict with what had been told to us in the same call. Now that the supposedly "appropriate" form has been submitted, I've been questioned again by a RingCentral rep whether this will be the correct submittal. This has been going on for almost a month. This company employs deceptive practices in order to retain an account. They are using any means they can to reject my repeated request to have this transfer done. I've filed a complaint with the FCC and will soon be contacting the Dept. of Consumer Affairs for the State of California.
