In 2011 I got a call from Gulf Coast readers for the first time and refused their offer, as I do with all telemarketers. A few months and requests to be put on the do not call list they called about free magazines. All I had to do was pay shipping and handling and if I wanted more magazines it would be 65.00 bucks. It was'nt until money started leaving my account that I paniced. I closed my account and everything was great for a while. A few months later mags started turning upband I got the phone call that I owed them money. When I fought it they claimed They had a recording of me saying yes to them and that wad a comtract with the company and I could not cancel. I figured I would get it over with and struggled to pay just over one thousamd dollars and they said I wad done. Now, a couplemonths later I am getting more calls that an employee there screwed me over and I still had money to pay. As a poor college student I am angry and I say enough is enough.

  • They screwed me over too! But I just spent an hour on the phone with them, ended up screaming at them (which I never ever ever do) and FINALLY he gave in and cancelled my account and voided my contract. The way they get you is they say that they aren't responsible for the gift you were supposed to receive. So just don't let them off the phone until they give you what you want. I had only made 3 payments, they wouldn't give me my money back, but they wanted me to pay $800 to cancel my account and I just wouldn't let them off the phone until they gave in. So just keep trying, yell at them, they will talk to you like you're stupid but just do it right back to them and BE PERSISTANT! DON'T GIVE UP!
