I tried to use my credit card that morning and the transaction was declined. When I called my credit card company, they asked if I had bought a car recently. NO, I hadn't. They said someone had used my card number to buy a car in (something like Brewster?) Maryland. They also asked me if I had recently ordered OnStar, as that was ordered the same day ($6.66). I hadn't done that either. Other charges seemed to appear correct. Credit Card acct was immediately closed and another card reissued. They said that they would take care of things. I would not be charged. Then on about 3/16/2012, I got an Ereceipt on my phone from Old Navy. It was a $5.++ cash transaction but I hadn't bought anything there for over a year. I cancelled my GAP/old Navy card the next day. No one at this company could explain how/why this transaction occurred and caused me to get an erroneous receipt. I have since received 2 more notices from Old Navy advertising sales but no further sales occurred that I know of.
