I received an email approximately 3/21/2012, asking me if I wanted to become a secret shopper. Being a woman and a shopaholic of course I jumped on the chance. Imagine my surprise when I received USPS express mail package with a cashier's check for $2850 and instruction telling to deposit the money into my account and keep $200 as commission for myself. I even went as fair as trying to verify the check online and I was told that it was a valid routing number and bank. I didn't readily go out and deposit the check, my thoughts were what company would send me this amount without having some reinsurrances that I would actually do what they attended with the money. The envelope it came it actually has a person's name not a business that got me thinking more. I pulled up Western Unions by laws and find that if you send money to unknowing party it can be constituted as fraud on your part. Not only that Western Union has no recourse to refund you the money to return to the bank. I researched it further and find scambook where thousands of people have been scammed by this alleged compamy. I thank everyone that reported this scan and I am sorry for anyone that was not as fortunate as I was.
