2 college students (girls) came to the door selling magazines to help them win a trip to Italy. They showed all kinds of credentials and were very well trained in their communication skills. I subscribed to a magazine for $55 for a 3 yr. subscription. After they left, I googled the company and found out I was probably scammed! I paid cash so they would have no bank info. What is mt recourse?

- None, You got scammed and lost 55 bucks. Never ever even give door to door sales people the chance to even speak. Just don't answer the door or if you must tell them you are not interested and close the door. Do not give them a chance to speak.

- This just happened to my daughter yesterday. See if you can find the girls by driving around the neighborhood. If you find them, call the police and they should assist you in getting back your money. Hopefully you have a receipt. Tell them you asked for the money back and it was refused. Good luck. If they are gone, try tomorrow, they usually stay in the same area for a while.

- The same thing just happened to me. The person claimed to be part of the boyscouts of America venture crew. i signed up for a magazine, and even gave him a check. now i don't know what to do, because my local police aren't helping me in any way. all they told me was to keep an eye on my bank account and if anything happens then notify them.

- The same thing just happen to me, a boy try to sell magazine to me and i already choose one and wrote a $55 check to him, but he's bad luck a officer just drive pass my house and saw this, he stop his car there wait for we done. Then he stop the boy and ask him questions. Finally one more officer come and arrest the boy, the officer ask for my information, might be they will call me later and ask for my evidence. And what i am trying to do now is call my bank and cancel that check. Wish this thing will not happen to any of you.
