Applied for an ad on craigslist for a job, got an email the next morning asking me to do a pre-interview screening, at the end of the screening they wanted me to do a credit check. I went ahead and did it, once I realized that it might start charging me after the "free trial period" I called and cancelled the account. Now that I have seen all of the other posts on this website I am worried about identity theft. Has anyone else on here that is a victim of this experienced any serious issues??

- sam thing with me but once you cancelled it you should be fine and also they didnt ask for your #ss in the prescreening questionnaire part right??

- I believe they did ask for my ss #, and I cancelled it and haven't had any issues come up. I am keeping a close eye on my bank account just to make sure.
