AMERICAN MAGAZINE GROUP called my phone, said i was selected for promotional gifts. they offered 400$ worth of gift cards in exchange for a payment of $29.90 for at first three months, then 30 months, but was finally reduced to 8 months.

they are good smooth talkers and definitely took advantage of how naive i was (I NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME BEFORE).

i gave them my bank number and when i asked if i decided to change my mind if they would refund my money, they said: "well we ship these today actually". BULL. JUST AS EASY AS YOU PULL MONEY OUT, YOU CAN PUT IT BACK IN.

then because my income was too low, a man named EVAN said that i was no longer eligible for the offer. when i asked him if i could have my money back, he HUNG UP on me.

then this man JONATHAN called and said: what you need to do is tell them you make X amount of money and they will give it to you. i called him out on the fact that he wanted me to lie. what a joke! these guys must be stopped.

if you get a phone call from a 2403454053, hang up or block! these guys will make their offer seem LEGIT! they even have 1-800 numbers and everything. if they give this number: 1-800-992-4179, HANG UP!that is their quote-unquote customer service number.

they don't have a website! they have no bonafides. infact, the only thing on the internet that mentions the AMERICAN MAGAZINE GROUP is SCAMBOOK! save yourselves from this, and lets hope that one day these guys will pay, out of pocket, for the monetary and emotional damges they've inflicted.

brightside! my wellsfargo bank is amazing! they were helpful and consoling in this entire matter. if AMG doesn't return my money in 15days, WF will get it back.

if you have already fallen victim to AMG, then immediatly go to your bank, close your card number and file a claim. also, spread the word to get these guys to stop cheating us!

  • PS: here is a similar case by someone who had this happen to them about a month ago. i don't have any pictures or anything for physical proof, but the fact that i am not the only person who's been victimized should say something.
