The person calling himself (herself?) "Gary E Hamby" offered to buy a boat that I'm selling - claimed to be a marine engineer and that the boat was to be a birthday surprise for his son. Claimed that he'd send me money via paypal, and that he'd include enough for me to send payment ($700) via Western Union to the transport agent. I discovered that there is no such transport agent, and paypal told me that they don't do business that way. He (she?) sounded very plausible for a while. Fortunately I was not taken in.
