Experian charged my credit card $19.95 for a credit report I didn't order. I didn't sign up for a free report and get sucked into a monthly scam or anything -- I had absolutely no dealings with them. When my card company and I got Experian on the phone, they promised to credit the charge back, and said that the name associated with it was someone I'd never heard of. How a charge could go through with my card number and the wrong name, address, and no check of the expiration date or security code is beyond me. The guy from Experian mumbled something about not requiring expiration dates, etc. for the transaction to go through. Sketchy.
