I received a phone call about 8:45 PM from a woman with this group whom I could barely understand - First clue! 2nd clue - she clearly was using a written script and if I asked a question she would go right back to her script. I was told I had won a $100.00 gift certificate to Target and I would get lots more by mail. BUT - 3rd clue - she wanted my credit OR debit card to charge me the $ .95 set up fee. "Nothing more"! I found their website, which gave no information about how to contact them with concerns, etc. My antenna was pretty high by this time and when I said I would not give her my card information, she just doubled back with the same info as before. The trick for me was that I had to do it right now to get the gift certificate! I finally said 'no' and she and I ended the call. THEN I googled the name of the "reputable, multi-million $$ business" (according to the caller) and found this one! Thank God I was smart enough to not give her my card number. WARNING: I have been told by my bank and a grocery store that my debit card CAN be used as a credit card if the MasterCard or Visa logo is on it. If that is done, they don't require a pin number, which is what I always thought made debit cards 'safe'. I even did that at the store, because we had just gotten a new card and I couldn't remember the pin number. I find this very scary, personally. I hope most of the people who get calls like this realize they are being scammed. BUYER BEWARE! PS I had to enter a ## amount on this form so I put $ .95, but I did not pay that. This is an 'almost got screwed' report!

  • I LOST NO MONEY. The form required me to list an amount so I put $ .95 and it now says $95.00. Not true and apparently I cannot go back and edit it! Just saying . . .
