I live in SA and just got home from an appointment and was telephonically contacted by a Patrick Davis who had all my details at hand telling me I had filled in some form a while back and I told him I do not recall it but then again I had filled in a few forms/orders on the internet. He further told me I was going 2 stay in the Hilton hotel, go 2 Disney land even spoke abt a car rental for 7 days and should I further decide a trip to the Bahamas on a luxury liner. He put me through to a "Travel Guide" named Dan O Brien and his guide no. is 9026. The telephone number they gave me was 011-8139153999. I was also given the following address 4104 West Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, Florida Zip code 3362. who confirmed the telephone number and all the above details. I was told I had 18mnths to choose a date but had 2 advise them at least 45days in advance. A longer period could be given (up to 3 years if necessary). I was further told that I would be assisted with the purchasing of the air tickets closer to the time and that this project was backed by the Hilton group. I was told they do this instead of spending millions on billboards, ads etc. they rather give "cheaper" holiday rates so that these people can go back home and spread the word of the wonderful holiday they had in the USA a provisional expiry date of 9/14/2013 was given. I was then put through to a Edward Whitten who was going to give me a "verbal" receipt as my master card credit card checked out. It was supposedly ALL taped. This receipt would be sent to my email address (which they already had ALL the particulars of) within 24 hrs and the rest of the "package info" within 3 working days!!! I was further told that I have a 30 day "cool down" period!!! HAH!!!The verification number of this "deal" is supposedly 16882221. What a f-ck-ng STUPID ASS I have been!! I normally 1st check these things out but was just off guard tonight. My God this is in the vicintity of ZAR7500-00 and THAT is a HUGE amount for a widower. PLEASE, PLEASE help me with this. I beg anyone to help me with this!!!

  • Blond, get in touch with the Better Business Bureau in Tampa and lodge a complaint with them. This travel resource centre is not accredited by them and has lots of complaints from people who are in the same boat. They will be able to assist you. Another good source is the Consumer Affairs agency in Florida. Google both for their email addresses and good luck ! It's a major scam that's been operating for years.

  • I was contacted last Saturday Morning by Lee Mandosa from the same company telling me I had won the same trip, when he mentioned timeshare I got wary. Then he was going to put me through to someone else to get my details..I then hung up. They called back 2 minutes later, I didn't answer the phone. Four days later they called again, I let Lee put me through to the next step and spoke to Dan O"Brien ID 9026, I argued with him about giving him my credit card details, he then put me through to somebody else (I didn't record his name) he who kept assuring me it would be fine, and I could check with my credit card company that all was above board with them. I eventually told them there was no way I was going to give them my card details over the phone and hung up...boy am I glad I did. Please everybody be aware.

  • I've discovered that they harass by phone as I asked for a full refund, got half ( seems to be the norm for them) then when challenged, received unwarranted calls for a month. They've stopped now as I don't communicate with them because of their deceit and warn others not to get into their scams.

  • Dear Chook and Janet
I NEVER gave up. I reported them to ALL I could think of even my bank as I was upset with them as well as according to them they cannot "REVERSE" an already approved amount even if it HAS NOT been paid over yet which 2 me is also sad. After numerous emails especially to a JERRI I was telephonically contacted one evening (SA time) and spoke to a lady. She was very reluctant BUT not rude. She told me that I could sell the package on line which I refused, the ALSO said they will refund only HALF which was ALSO unacceptable to me. It was after me telling her that NONE of their consultants EVER mention in the WHOLE discussion that one is NOT entitled 2 a refund OR even do the mention half of the amount.
I was eventually refunded IN FULL. I need 2 mention that FLORIDA DEPARTMENT & CONSUMER SERVICES (COMMISSIONER ADAM H. PUTNAM) was totally prepared to help me in this matter. Their email address is as follows: www.freshfromflorida.com
From my side I just want 2 also warn people NOT 2 fall 4 stupid things like this like I did. I have REALLY learnt MY lesson and nearly was it a VERY costly one. Bombard them with mails as that is what I did.
Thank you very much CHOOK 4 your advise on this matter AND 2 SCAMBOOK 4 the platform you guys give to consumers like myself!! Hopefully this was the 1st AND the LAST I will be on here!! LOL!!!!
    Thank you very very much!!
    BLOND (SA)

  • Good news, Blond. I have contacted Adam Putnam but had already got in touch with the Better Business Bureau so decided to let them take it further and was already fed up with the incessant phone calls from the scammers.I wait and see as both these agencies know all about them, so once again I'm happy for you !
