Said he was in the US Army and stationed in Afgahnistan. He said he needed money to come home to the U.S. to take care of a dying uncle. He tried to get me to send him $2000.00 to pay for his airline ticket and 'penalties' he had to pay because he was coming home early. If this person tries to befriend you and asks you for money, do not send him any money. This is a young Nigerian man -- he's definitely not an American or in the Army. He can be nice and charming with his sob story; but do not send him any money!!
If you are doubtful ask him to give you his rank or ID number so you can verify it with the US Army and he will refuse. He can never give any specifics of where his is, where he is from or any details of a real American life. Be careful and definitely do not send him any money.
