- this happened to a friend of mine 2 days ago.You won't get an answer back.The bank will try and wash their hands of it,as they have done in this case.You need to make a formal complaint to the bank,they then have to prove it was authorised.After 2 weeks they have to pay the money back,even if there investigations are not finished.They cannot drag their feet.Contact Action Fraud get a crime number:0300 1232040.If you don't do anything they might do it again,as a matter of urgency change your card for a new one
