My husband received a call last week from the "Public Yellow Pages" trying to collect $599.99 for a listing supposedly authorized by me. The listing was for a long defunct company my husband used to own. It was not a yellow pages type company and I never worked there and never would have even dreamed of putting it in the phone book.

Today, I received a bill from Public Yellow Pages, 405 Lexington Avenue, Chrysler Building, 26th floor, New York, NY 10174. According to the "invoice" the "order/invoice" date is 10/6/2011 -- long after the company ceased to exist. This is a totally bogus scam. Don't be fooled.
