5 star swap mart located at 300 w. north ave in villa park il signed me up as a merchant and did all the processing gave them 1400 to start selling our product in their Flea market type mall and did so with no problem for only about the first 30 days then their where leaks in the roof they toldme that its the owner of the buildings problem but everytime it rained it came into our shop , they always were harrassing us about payments that they send out friday and expected to get paid saturday the next morning they promise that they generously advertise their company in which i have never seen anywhere also they shut my shop down without prior notice in writting or verbally and where complaining over 632.50 and they refused to let me in my own shop then one of their employees threatened myself and my business partner on several occasions the managers told us to shrug it off get over it and deal with it, i have had several different vehicles follow me home and to work the same cars i have found on their parking lot they are un-professional down to the last letter of the word they have lost my company wages by shutting us down demanded payment before they will allow me to go into our own shop that we have had a written agreement they have illegal opperations such as drug peddling drug using i have even seen one of the managers gloating about snorting cocaine they also have refused to give us our villa park license to operate and occupy they didnt give us a fire extinguisher they promised which is a fire hazzard for any buisiness not to have they also have misrepresented themselfs and pretty much bait and switch all they run are gambling, lottery and game of chance and skill which to my understanding is also illegal they have let children man the cash registers they sell un packaged food which is also illegal they cook and heat food cook food from home and sell it they also have illegal weapons they sell swords butterfly knives no merchant has a license to operate no merchant has insurance for liabilities and fire and damage, they have slannered our companies new good name on several occasions by word of mouth they refuse to give my last 4 week reserve they did not allow me to serve out our last 4 weeks they have stolen property from our shop and obviously stolen money the 1,000 dollars they refuse to give, they saw they do everything by the book but i have yet seen any proof of it they always answered our questions with another question and have never given us any reason or answers to our questions , they claim to be selling only rental space which clearly they compete with their own customers in the market with setting up their own pop-up stand shops like snacks food jewlery famous art memrebilla stuffed animals lottery they spin the wheel of chance and skill to win cash or gift certificates their customers and employees are all of the hispanic nature and they only played mexican music till i called them out on it and then they started just playing american songs or english speaking songs all the merchants either have no id no ssn and to my guess no green card its more of a safe havan for illegal immigrants i have tried to resolve our differences but it was always like talking to a brick wall they also have a bar to sell liquer in while the merchants are on duty they get drunk they also sell conterfeit merchandise.
