Received phone call for vacation deal for Disney Orlando; Daytona; Ft Lauderdale. Ordered 2 packages for $298 each...started to get suspicious in middle of call (especially since guy said don't type name of company in google search bar but directly in address bar). Upon researching company on phone saw many allegations of scam so I hung up. They kept calling back and then I realized I didn't have a confirmation number or anything to cancel with so I called back to get it. The guy said he didn't charge me the first two packages but if I just wanted to order one now and assured me what I had read was just 1% of unhappy customers. That was odd as the first time he made a good sales pitch for the 2. So I stupidly read of card #; received confirmation number etc and asked if I can have confirmation of cancellation for first two and was assured they weren't charged. I was still hoping this was legit as they threw in 2 vacations locally and thought that alone would be worth the money. Then did more research...one of the hotels the Desert Inn in Daytona was rated as #3 worst hotel for being dirty by Trip Advisor along with many othe rcomments about the dirty hotels! Also, never got confirmation materials in email, and called credit card company..they charged me 3 times $298! Then realized I had been scammed big time...should have known better. Put hold on card and cancelled card...called Travel company today and she said she'd put credit through but they made me read card number again..I said you should have it...they said no it didn't make it through the system. Right. So knowing I had a hold on it read it again; called credit company. I doubt I will see the credit.
