3 years ago we had a good kitchenaid coffee maker that worked wonderful. we then got a notice that there was a recall on it and they would send us a replacement. here came the replacement and with very light use it quit working after 2 1/2 years. we contacted kitchenaid with hopes of having it repaired since the warranty was only good for a year. customer care told us it could not be repaired and to go out an buy another. Asked for a supervisor was told he would tell me the same thing which he did but I explained selling coffee makers for over a hundred dollars the quit in 2 years is a big scam by kitchenaid since they cannot be repaired. He said well that is the way it is. My reply was I am done with kitchenaid products and will let others know how bad their coffee makers are and also their customer service.
